Googling “tea party” “2 Chronicles 7:14? suggests that this is the scriptural motto of the Tea Party, with 1.1M hits. (See also.)

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
It being implicit that this apparently has not been done to the Tea Party’s satisfaction. (They are certainly experts at humility.) The context is God’s telling Solomon that He will dwell in the newly-built Temple, and if He sends locusts, etc., he will call off the plague/drought/infestation upon due repentance. The more Tea-Partyish part comes later in the chapter:

Ah. There you go. The Mississippi Supreme Court applied the wrong statutes.
