Vicksburg mayor to meet with Miss. congressmen

Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs Jr. is planning a series of meetings next week with members of Congress from Mississippi.

Flaggs’ itinerary calls for him to be in Washington on Tuesday and Wednesday to meet separately with each member of the state delegation, according to The Vicksburg Post.

“I’m going to do a walk around and meet the congressmen and see how we can better utilize Congress to help us in the economic growth of Vicksburg,” Flaggs said Wednesday after a meeting with city department heads. “I do have some projects I’m going to be presenting.”
