Campaign ad writers salivating over Sebelius’ ‘whatever’ response

Under fire in Congress for the failures that have plagued Healthcare.gov’s big debut, Secretary of Health Kathleen Sebelius last week replied to a line of loaded questions by saying “whatever.”

And Republican fundraisers rejoiced.

Sebelius was being grilled by Mississippi’s 3rd District Rep. Gregg Harper, who was trying to get her to assign blame for the problems.

The exchange proceeded kind of awkwardly, before Harper pointedly asked: “It is the president’s ultimate responsibility, correct?” according to a Fox News video.

“Um, you clearly … Yes. Whatever,” Sebelius replied. “Yes, he is the president, he is responsible for government programs.”
