Bryant wants National Guard furloughs to end, cites storms
Gov. Phil Bryant and two other Southern governors want President Barack Obama to end furloughs of National Guardsmen in the Gulf states.
Byrant, Florida Gov. Rick Scott and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal sent a letter to Obama expressing concern about the furloughs coming at a time when the states are vulnerable to hurricane season and other natural disasters.
