2 advance to runoff after House special election
Karl Gibbs will be in the April 2nd runoff to fill a seat in the Mississippi House.
Complete, but unofficial, returns showed Gibbs with 28 percent of the vote in House District 36 followed by Eddie Longstreet and Jeannie Johnson Staten (STAY’-tuhn), who each got 22 percent. Results showed Longstreet with five votes more than Staten.
