Campaigns & Elections Magazine (C&E) named twelve Mississippians to its list of The Influencers 500. C&E conducted more than 100 interviews with consultants, journalists and political insiders across the country to compile its list which excludes elected officials and identifies, according to C&E, “consultants and insiders who help get the politicians where they want to be…consultants who are influential in their homes states – the folks with pull in primaries and the state-specific campaigns.” The list appears in C&E’s November/December 2012 edition and covers all fifty states.
Mississippi Republican influencers include Austin Barbour and Arnie Hederman with the Clearwater Group; Henry Barbour with Capitol Resources, LLC; Justin Braswell with Triumph Campaigns; Quinton Dickerson and Josh Gregory with Frontier Strategies, LLC; and Brian Perry with Capstone Public Affairs, LLC.
Top Mississippi Democratic political influencers are Brad Chism with Zata 3; attorney Jonathan Compretta; Mississippi NAACP President Derrick Johnson; Mississippi Association for Justice executive director Pam Johnson; and political consultant Jere Nash.
