PSC’s Presley continues push for lower electricity rates
A Mississippi utility regulator says the Public Service Commission has asked electric companies to identify areas where they can lower rates.
The Greenwood Commonwealth reports (http://bit.ly/OMxqeG) that Northern District Commissioner Brandon Presley told members of the Greenwood Voters League this week utility rates were set at a time of high interest rates.
He says Entergy Mississippi had an 11.6 return on its investment and Mississippi Power Co. has enjoyed a 10.62 percent return on its investment.
