DCCC launches robocalling campaign tying Republican candidates to Ryan budget

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is out today with a robocalling campaign to tie what they’ve deemed vulnerable Republicans in 50 districts nationwide to Rep. Paul Ryan’s (R-Wisc.) budget — specifically its effect on Medicare.

The calls feature a script read by a DCCC staffer that highlights the candidates’ support for the Ryan budget and a nonpartisan analysis that reveals the plan’s increase in health care costs for seniors and tax breaks for the wealthy. They will run in each candidate’s district, part of an effort on the part of Democrats that DCCC Chairman Steve Israel says will be “on offense and in overdrive” up until Election Day.
