Hood Seeking to Stop Internet Drug Sales
Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood says officials need to do a better job of cracking down on the illegal sale of medication on the internet.
Hood says many people are buying painkillers and other medications online, thinking they will help more than medications you would normally purchase at a drug store.
“People think they can get their drugs cheaper over the internet and they think they are actually buying the legitimate drug when they are not,” Hood says. “They are made in china and they look like they are the legitimate product. But we’re seeing a large increase in that area and it’s endangering our citizens.”
