Kirk Sims – Chief of Staff. Sims served as policy director for Bryant in the lieutenant governor’s office and helped run his campaign for governor. He is the son-in-law of U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker. An Ole Miss grad, Sims has previously worked in public affairs in Washington, D.C.
Lucien Smith – Deputy Chief of Staff. A former budget adviser and legal counsel for Gov. Haley Barbour’s administration, Smith ran for state treasurer this year but lost in the three-person GOP primary. He is a Harvard and University of Virginia Law graduate. He had been working in the private sector during his campaign and up to his appointment to Bryant’s administration.
Bobby Waites – Chief Counsel. Waites is a former director of the Mississippi Public Utilities Staff, a position he held from 1996 until last year.
