Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Johnny DuPree was in Meridian on Sunday afternoon for the ribbon cutting of the new Lauderdale County Democratic Headquarters. DuPree was joined by several other Democratic candidates running for office in Lauderdale County. He tells Newscenter 11 that with less than two months to go until election day, he plans to campaign hard and encourages everyone to vote.
“Get educated on the candidates,” DuPree stresses. “Find out what they’re about. And then vote your interest. If that’s me, I praise God for that. If it’s not me, then I’m glad that you go out and vote anyway. But I think the important thing is go out and educate yourself and then go from there.”
