Pickering orders Warren Co. Circuit Clerk to reimburse county
WARREN COUNTY, MS (WLBT) –
It seems the Warren County Circuit Clerk has collected tens of thousands of dollars over what the office is entitled to by law.
State Auditor Stacey Pickering’s Office has determined Shelly Ashley-Palmertree must reimburse Warren County over $342,000.
According to Pickering, the Circuit Clerk did not pay substantial amounts of money to the Warren County from 2006-2010.
The audit indicates excess amounts of money were drawn from civil and criminal accounts and paid to the Circuit Clerk.
