Bryant: Oros will ‘face Mississippi justice’
LAUREL — Lt. Gov. Phil Bryant said Wednesday he is continuing to work on extradition of alleged Jones County rapist Miguel A. Oros.
It was more than a year ago that Jones County Sheriff Alex Hodge announced the arrest of Oros in Tabasco, Mexico. However, the suspect has yet to be returned to Jones County to stand trial.
Oros has been linked to two sexual assaults locally in 2005, two in 2007 and one in 2009. He is also linked to a 2005 sexual assaults in Meridian and a 2009 assault in New Iberia, La., in 2009. The victims were between 59- and 87-years-old.
