Insurance claims from Miss. storms continue to pour in
Claims from last week’s storms have reached $75 million and are expected to continue rising, state Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney said.
The figure, which includes some public buildings, could reach $85 million, he said. It was $70 million last Friday.
“We’re looking at pretty solid numbers on our end,” Chaney said.
More than 2,200 auto and home claims have been filed in Mississippi with State Farm, and that number could grow, company spokesman Roszell Gadson said.
