Senator Wicker brings pro-business message to Gulfport
GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) – Senator Roger Wicker will be in Gulfport Friday to tour Newman Lumber Company. The family-owned business will serve as the backdrop as the senator talks about the many difficulties small businesses face in this economy.
“I hear from thousands of entrepreneurs and small business owners from Mississippi who struggle to make difficult decisions to stay afloat each month,” Wicker wrote in a weekly column last month. “Operating one of these businesses is a challenging endeavor with many risks. Rather than overburden these men and women, we should work to create stability and certainty.”
