MDOT: Future of agency uncertain
Mississippians were saddened at the sudden death of Northern District Transportation Commissioner Bill Minor of Holly Springs on Monday in Biloxi.
Minor, also a longtime former state senator, died after a heart attack Monday while he was on the Gulf Coast for a national conference. He was 68.
He served Mississippi to the best of his ability for many years
Minor’s death leaves the future of the leadership of the Mississippi Department of Transportation somewhat uncertain.
Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann’s Office has reviewed state law regarding the vacancy in the Northern District Transportation Commissioner’s office.
