Young Dems hosting fall meeting
During President Obama’s historic campaign last year, the nation saw a large increase in the number of young people who got involved in the political process. Here in Mississippi, that trend is no different. Young Democrats in Mississippi are not only the future of our party, they are shaping it today.
On Saturday, the Young Democrats of Mississippi will hold their fall meeting at Alcorn State University in the JD Boyd Library Auditorium. The meeting begins at 11 a.m., and everyone is invited to attend. Congressman Bennie Thompson will be the special guest speaker for the event.
We are proud of our state chapter of Young Democrats. They have always represented Mississippi well among their national colleagues, and the members have found great success within various professional circles in Mississippi.
I hope you will take time to attend this meeting and hear about the good work they are doing. And if you are a Democrat under the age of 35, you should consider joining this impressive group of people.
