Commission Chairman Posey Announces Public Comments to Be Heard over Kemper Proposal

Jackson, MS. (10/7/09) – Central District Public Service Commissioner Lynn Posey (D-Union Church) announced today that the Mississippi Public Service Commission will take public comment on the proposed Mississippi Power’s Kemper County IGCC plant, on Friday, October 9, 2009.

Anyone who wishes to participate and testify as a public witness will be able to address the Commission. Large groups are encouraged to designate a spokesperson.

Commissioner Posey encourages anyone who wishes to comment to attend Friday’s meeting, call his office at 1-800-356-6430 or send an email to www.psc.state.ms.us.
