Merle Flowers, Alan Nunnelee and the First District
Once he made his decision last week to stay out of a Republican primary against Sen. Alan Nunnelee in the race for Congress up in the First District, Sen. Merle Flowers went right to work energetically trying to persuade his friends and supporters to line up behind Nunnelee.
This evening, Nunnelee conducts the Southaven edition of his “Listening Tour”, and the enthusiasm with which he is received could be a good indicator of how successful Flowers has been in his efforts to encourage folks to get on board with Nunnelee. My guess is that Nunnelee will be very well received in Southaven and throughout DeSoto County, and that Flowers will back him strongly and actively.
