John Hohrn and Marshand Crisler dominating money race

State Sen. John Hohrn and Councilman Marshand Crisler dominated the money race among candidates vying to be the next mayor of Jackson, according to campaign finance reports acquired Tuesday by The Clarion-Ledger.

Former Police Chief Robert Johnson, incumbent Mayor Frank Melton and Hinds County Tax Collector Eddie Fair ran distantly behind Crisler and Horhn with more than $50,000 in contributions for each. Labor leader Brenda Scott trailed the pack with $27,965 in contributions. The reports cover campaign contributions and expenditures from Jan. 1 through April 25.
