Gov. Haley Barbour responded enthusiastically Thursday to ideas from a Coast coalition on housing and said he may move quickly on one of its suggestions.
The 10-point plan is built around the idea of appointing a housing leader from South Mississippi to rally people and get things done.
Barbour said once he finds the right person, he could appoint within “days not weeks” the person to lead the Coast in its struggle to rebuild the market so hard hit by Katrina.
