Wicker Releases ‘Lifetime of Service’ Ad on website

By: Magnolia Tribune - July 15, 2008

Wicker for Senate began running a television advertisement today touting Senator Roger Wicker’s lifetime of service to Mississippi and the nation. The ad entitled “Lifetime of Service” is running in the Jackson and Hattiesburg media markets.

“I have dedicated my life to serving the people of Mississippi and the nation, and I’m running a campaign based on my record,” Senator Wicker said. “From my first campaign speech, Gayle and I promised to run a strong, positive, issues-oriented campaign about accomplishing bi-partisan, common sense, solutions to reduce energy prices, create more and better jobs in Mississippi, and reform our health care system just to name a few.”

“For over 30 years I have known Roger as a hard-working, honest, strong leader. I know it will be easy for Mississippians across the state to recognize the strength of character and principle that is so evident to me in Roger,” Gayle Wicker added.

Senator Wicker retired from the Air Force Reserve in 2004 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Before his appointment to the U.S. Senate, Roger Wicker served 13 years in the House of Representatives and seven years in the State Senate.

Another advertisement entitled “Fighting for Affordable Insurance,” is running in the Gulf Coast media market. Both ads can be viewed at http://www.wickerforsenate.com/.
