U.S. Rep Bennie Thompson says Central Mississippi Inc. will get $3.1 million in federal funding for its Head Start programs.
Thompson, a Democrat from Mississippi, says the money for the Winona-based organization will come from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Head Start is a child development program for children up to five years old and is meant to prepare low-income kids for school.
