The 2008 legislative session came to an end this morning.
The session was scheduled to end on Saturday, but Friday, there were few matters left to take up. It does appear there will be a special legislative session, as solutions to Medicaid recurring deficits have not been found, and there are some issues involving the Mississippi Department of Employment Security.
Gov. Haley Barbour said Thursday those issues would have to be addressed before July, when the new fiscal year begins.
But at this point, it is not known when Barbour will call a special legislative session.
