The House Insurance Committee is expected to vote today on a bill that would expand the rights of residential insurance policyholders.
A Policyholder Bill of Rights has been championed by Coast legislators and Long Beach homeowner Kevin Buckel, who was initially denied coverage for Hurricane Katrina damage.
The Policyholder Bill of Rights last year died in the House Insurance Committee when members held a hearing but failed to bring it up for a vote.
