More than a month after Jackson Mayor Frank Melton reassigned or promoted 10 officers, including a former and current bodyguard, they still have not received pay increases.
Melton said the raises would come and would be retroactive, but Police Chief Shirlene Anderson has not signed the required paperwork.
“The only thing I can tell you is when I had the conversation, (Anderson) told me she was going to do it,” Melton said.
