The seven-term incumbent seeking to hold the House District 3 also wants to retain his leadership position as speaker of the House.

Rep. Billy McCoy, D-Rienzi, is being challenged in the Nov. 6 general election by Republican William “Tracy” Arnold of Booneville.

On his Web site, Arnold calls himself “a person with a vision for our district” and said he understands the needs of district residents of all ages – youth to senior citizens. He vows to work with community development groups to promote natural resources of the district and attract industry.
