The Democratic candidate for Insurance Commissioner is backing a bill before congress and taking jabs at his opponent.
Gary Anderson says the multi-peril insurance bill would help reduce rates in Mississippi. It offers protection from wind and storm surge damage through the federal flood insurance program.
Anderson also reaffirms his pledge to not accept any campaign contributions from the insurance industry. His Republican opponent, Mike Chaney, made a similar pledge back in June, but Anderson says Chaney has broken that promise.
