The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal, 4/6/7
Northeast Mississippi physicians Ed Hill of Tupelo and Kelly Segars of Iuka are in the unique situation of having been confirmed by the state Senate to serve on a state governing board that no longer exists.
They were confirmed, but the Legislature opted to abolish the existing Board of Health and create a new one. Barbour signed the bill into law last week. The law authorizes Barbour, Attorney General Jim Hood and Lt. Gov. Amy Tuck to make appointments to a new board.
