Candidate for State Representative said to have shot his wife, then himself, in medical clinic

According to a report by WMC,  a candidate for Representative, Carl Robinson, was involved in a murder/suicide in Marshall County on Tuesday.

Sheriff Dickerson confirmed to the news outlet that Carl Robinson shot his wife Latoya Thompson before killing himself at the Williams Medical Clinic in Potts Camp, where his wife worked as a receptionist.

Thompson was flown to a hospital where she later died due to her injuries.

According to investigators the two individuals were in the middle of a divorce.

Robinson was running for the House District 5 seat as a Democrat. Two other Democrats qualified for that race, John Faulkner and Jacqueline Simon.
