By: Sarah Ulmer - June 3, 2019

Lt. Governor Tate Reeves who is running for Governor in 2019 has been endorsed by the Mississippi Manufactures Association.

The Mississippi Manufacturers Association (MMA) Board of Directors voted unanimously to endorse Tate Reeves in his campaign for election to the office of governor.  MMA made the announcement Wednesday, May 29, at their board meeting at The Grand Hotel Marriott Resort in Point Clear, AL.

MMA President and CEO Jay C. Moon said, “The MMA Board of Directors have wholeheartedly chosen to support Lt. Governor Tate Reeves in his campaign for election. Lt. Governor Reeves has consistently supported our state’s manufacturing companies and their employees. He is a champion for workforce development, and we believe he will represent Mississippi well.”

Lt. Governor Reeves has repeatedly demonstrated a willingness to support Mississippi’s business community. He has been a vocal supporter of these issues as President of the Senate, encouraging Mississippi’s legislators to support bills that would help reduce taxes, strengthen economic development, reform workers’ compensation, protect manufacturers, and much more.

Reeves faces opposition in the August 6, primary election. The MMA encourages its members to support his campaign for election.
