Another Mississippi Legislator, Earl Banks, hospitalized due to complications from COVID-19

Representative Earl Banks has been hospitalized due to complications from COVID-19. The information comes from fellow Representative Tom Mile’s Twitter post.

Banks was part of the large group of Legislators to contract COVID-19 in the final days of the 2020 Legislative Session. Also reported to be in the hospital due to the virus is Rep. Manly Barton.

Rep. Banks has served in the Mississippi Legislature since 1993 for District 67. He is associated with the Mississippi and National Funeral Directors & Morticians Association and Magnolia and Mississippi Bar Associations. He is active in the JSU Foundation and many other community organizations.

Rep. Chris Bell also indicated that Mayor Wallace of Edwards has been hospitalized.
