Today, Supreme Court Justice Kenny Griffis announced that his campaign has been endorsed by the Mississippi Automobile Dealers Association (MADA) for the 2020 election cycle.
Marty Milstead, MADA President stated, “We’re endorsing Supreme Court Justice Kenny Griffis in his campaign because of his record as a thoughtful leader on the court. Our Supreme Court has a direct impact on the individual rights and economic futures of millions of Mississippians, and it’s important that we support elected officials who prioritize those issues.”
“I’ve worked hard to apply the law fairly and justly, without legislating from the bench,” said Justice Griffis. “In my time on the Court, I’ve established a proven record as a Constitutional conservative, and I appreciate the support and endorsement of MADA and its membership.”
Justice Griffis was appointed to the Mississippi Supreme Court on February 1, 2019, by former Governor Phil Bryant. Prior to joining the Supreme Court, he served on the Court of Appeals for 16 years and was honored to end his tenure there as Chief Judge.
Supreme Court District 1 includes the following counties: Bolivar, Claiborne, Copiah, Hinds, Holmes, Humphreys, Issaquena, Jefferson, Kemper, Lauderdale, Leake, Madison, Neshoba, Newton, Noxubee, Rankin, Scott, Sharkey, Sunflower, Warren, Washington, and Yazoo.
