Governor-Elect Tate Reeves Releases Schedule For 2020 Inauguration Celebrations

By: Sarah Ulmer - December 9, 2019

Today, Governor-Elect Tate Reeves released the full schedule of public events celebrating his inauguration in 2020. Mississippians and supporters from across the country will come together in our state’s capital on January 12th through the 14th to mark this historic moment. Continuing Mississippi’s inaugural traditions, the celebrations will include the swearing-in ceremony, a parade winding through downtown Jackson, the inaugural ball, and much more.

“Elee and I are blessed to join our fellow Mississippians for a big, fun-filled day to celebrate this moment in history. Having grown up in a small town in Mississippi, I know how important and auspicious this day is not only for my family but for everyone living in small towns across our great state. I am truly honored that the people of Mississippi elected me as their next Governor and look forward to being sworn in to represent all Mississippians as the 65th Governor of Mississippi,” said Governor-elect Tate Reeves.
