Second Contract in Two Months Goes to Golden Manufacturing Co. in Golden, MS

U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) today announced that Golden Manufacturing Company, Inc. has been awarded a $15.9 million contract to manufacture uniforms for the military.

The Tishomingo County firm was awarded the competitive contract from the Defense Logistics Agency to produce uniforms for the U.S. Navy.  The award is the second contract earned by the company in two months.

“Golden Manufacturing and its workforce will use this new contract to continue producing quality uniforms for the U.S. Armed Forces.  This second contract is further proof of the strong workforce in Mississippi and our commitment to our servicemen and women,” said Hyde-Smith, who serves on the Senate Appropriations Committee.

The $15,999,149 contract entails the production of garments for the U.S. Navy.  The 18-month contract, which includes three one-year option periods, is funded through FY2019-2021 defense working capital funds.

Golden was awarded a similar $18.2 million contract last month to manufacture uniforms for the Army and Air Force.
