Y’all Politics is pleased to announce the addition of Jay Hughes as an Investigative Reporter. Hughes, of Jackson, will focus most of his coverage on data and public record intensive stories that give our readers a true sense of how government and political campaigns work.
Jay E. Hughes grew up in Jackson with strong ties to the Delta, and has spent his almost three-decade career in newspapers or writing for The Associated Press in Mississippi and throughout the central United States. Hughes will be working to define and bring depth to coverage of stories with statewide importance for Mississippians.
Y’all Politics Editor Alan Lange stated, “I’ve known Jay for a long time, and Mississippi is lucky to have him back in the media landscape again.
