The National Rifle Association on Monday endorsed Cindy Hyde-Smith for U.S. Senate.
Hyde-Smith is a lifelong member of the NRA and has repeatedly voted in favor of Second Amendment rights.
“I have always supported citizens’ right to bear arms, and very much appreciate the NRA’s endorsement,” Hyde-Smith said. “I will always stand with the NRA to protect the Second Amendment.”
Representatives with the NRA’s Political Victory Fund made the announcement Monday afternoon.
“Cindy Hyde-Smith is an ardent supporter of the Second Amendment and will work to ensure that our constitutional rights are protected,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman, NRA-PVF. “Hyde-Smith will protect our right to keep and bear arms in the U.S. Senate and vote to confirm Supreme Court justices who respect the Second Amendment.”
