MS Lieutenant Gov. Tate Reeves to report $5.36 million COH

Y’all Politics has confirmed from sources that Mississippi Lieutenant Governor Tate Reeves intends to file his 2017 Annual Campaign Finance filing with the Secretary of State later today that will show cash on hand (COH) of $5,367,000.

This is up from his 2016 Annual Report where he showed $4,327,000.

In a non-election year to have COH rise over a million dollars is a major signal that Reeves remains locked in on a gubernatorial run in 2019.  At this point, there have been no overwhelming signals about a serious primary challenger.  Democrats in Mississippi are trying to formulate a candidate and have been actively trying to recruit Jim Hood.  His 2016 Annual Report showed $317,696 COH.

We will update this report with an actual copy of Reeves’s report when it is filed.
