JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) – Multiple sources say Georgia Congressman John Lewis will hold a press conference Thursday at noon to announce a decision about his scheduled appearance at the opening of the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum and Mississippi History Museum on Saturday.

Congressman Lewis, an iconic veteran of the civil rights movement, is scheduled to be the keynote speaker for Saturday’s event, but reportedly is reconsidering, because of President Donald Trump’s announced visit.
