Lt. Gov. Reeves talks education in Columbus

By: Magnolia Tribune - November 16, 2017

LT. GOVERNOR TALKS POLITICS AND THE FUTURE

He pointed out reading scores and graduation rates are improving, along with implementing educational scholarships for certain students and charter schools.

“If we know a particular company is going to locate here and we know the kind of skills they need for their workers, we can provide those skills overtime… given an amount of money, of course, and that’s great. That’s fine. What we’ve got to do is turn that around. We’ve got to provide a workforce with the skills needed to provide for the jobs of tomorrow and that of in itself will help us recruit business and industry,” says Reeves.

Reeves would not rule out a run for governor.
