Young Meridian Councilman Weston Lindemann is backing Colin Kaepernick and those kneeling for the National Anthem in the NFL.
On September 24, he wrote on his Facebook page: “If you think respect for a flag should take priority over opposing the systemic oppression of African-Americans, you’re part of the problem. Glad to see so many supporting Colin Kaepernick and everything he represents today.”
Lindemann changed his profile picture to show him sporting a Kaepernick shirt this week.
