Wicker Statement on Former FBI Director Comey’s Testimony
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss., a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, today issued the following statement regarding former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee:
“Mr. Comey’s testimony today confirmed that President Trump was not under investigation, nor did he or anyone in his Administration instruct the FBI to delay, suspend, or stop the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. I am hopeful that the independent inquiry now led by Mr. Robert Mueller will be swift, thorough, and transparent.”
