Wicker Reacts to President Trump’s Address to Congress
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss., issued the following statement after President Donald Trump completed his first address to a joint session of Congress:
“President Trump is working to fulfill the promises he made to the American people during his campaign. He is realistic about the state of our country, and he is using this pragmatism to lay out a vision to unite Americans of different backgrounds and political views. He shared that vision with Congress and the American people tonight. I am particularly encouraged by President Trump’s attention to our small businesses and the economic power we can unleash by eliminating onerous regulations and prioritizing job creation. I look forward to working with the President and his Administration over the course of the next four years to pass a bold agenda that includes tax reform, a replacement for Obamacare, a stronger military, and improved infrastructure.”
