Superintendents group announces support for MAEP revamp
The Mississippi Association of School Superintendents, one of the state’s most powerful education lobbies, has pledged to support a recently launched effort by the GOP legislative leadership to re-write the state’s education formula.
In a news release Thursday, the organization said it supported the revamp of the Mississippi Adequate Education Program because leadership said the purpose was to “get more money into the classroom at the instructional level.”
