City’s elected leaders to get pay raise next term

The city’s top elected leaders will get a pay raise next year, a decision reached Tuesday after it was publicly discussed for the first time.

The pay raise will impact City Council members and the mayor and go into effect July 2017 when the next four-terms for elected leaders begin.

The mayor’s salary will rise from $92,242 to $105,000. The city council president’s salary will rise from $19,932 to $23,000. Other council members will see their salaries increase from $16,932 to $20,000.
