MSSC denies to hear appeal from former Southaven mayor Davis

By: Magnolia Tribune - September 6, 2016

Davis denied appeal to Supreme Court

The Mississippi Supreme Court Thursday declined to hear an appeal from former Southaven Mayor Greg Davis, upholding the state Court of Appeals December 2015 decision that requires Davis to repay money the state said he owes Southaven for misuse of funds.

Davis had appealed to the Supreme Court the appeals court’s affirmation of a Hinds County Chancery Court decision ordering him to pay $73,915.15 State Auditor Stacey Pickering said he still owed the City of Southaven after an audit revealed misuse of funds.
