Special judges appointed in Hinds DA’s case
The Mississippi Supreme Court has appointed two special judges to preside over proceedings in cases involving Hinds County District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith.
Judge James Bell, a senior status judge in Hinds County, will hear the case filed by the Attorney General’s office in County Court.
Judge Larry Roberts, a retired Court of Appeals Judge from Meridian, will handle cases pending in Hinds County Circuit Court.
