PERRY gives glimpse into Court races

Sixteen attorneys are seeking election to the Mississippi Supreme Court or Court of Appeals this year. With staggered terms, Mississippi elects candidates to the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals every two years, but this year looks to be the most crowded race in eight years. …Also on the Court of Appeals, Bryant appointee Jim Greenlee and Barbour appointee David Ishee are unopposed for election.

In March, BIPEC (Business and Industry Political Education Committee) issued a recommendation for Maxwell, Griffis, Beam, Greenlee, Wilson and Ishee. The contested races should heat up this summer.
