Columbus Business Defense Attorney John Brady Raises More Money Than All of His Opponents
?The Committee to Elect John Brady to the Mississippi Supreme Court announced today, that according to finance reports filed by his opponents to the Secretary of State’s Office, that Brady’s Committee has raised more money than any of his opponents.
• Columbus Business Defense Attorney John Brady raised $84,822 and has $48,124 cash on hand.
• Current Columbus Circuit Court Judge Jim Kitchens raised $1,550 and has $1,407 cash on hand.
• Hernando former Senator and current Circuit Court Judge Bobby Chamberlin raised $500 and has $500 cash on hand.
• Tupelo Attorney Steve Crampton raised $0 and has $0 cash on hand.
This report, which was due today to the Secretary of State’s Office, covers the fundraising period from January 1, 2016 through April 30, 2016, the longest fundraising cycle for the duration of the campaign.
Brady stated, “My family and I are so very pleased and honored by the support we have received throughout our campaign. We have worked hard to visit all 33 counties with our message of fair justice through the correct interpretation of the law versus creating laws to yield certain outcomes.”

Brady continued, “With almost half of the Court up for election this year, we have to make sure that Mississippi will never be called the “Jackpot Justice State” again. That reputation costs our state thousands of jobs and years to correct and I am completely committed that we will never allow Mississippi to be known for easy and excessive awards against our doctors and businesses.”
Brady concluded, “This campaign started out in a small room with my wife, two daughters and a couple of friends and has now grown into a network throughout our 33-county district for which we will always be thankful. We will continue to work day and night to earn the voters trust and vote.”
Brady is a Columbus business attorney who represents businesses of all types for more than two decades. He is a shareholder in the Columbus office of Mitchell, McNutt & Sams law firm. Brady has extensive trial experience in both Mississippi and federal courts where he has successfully defended individuals and businesses that have been sued. Brady and his wife Jennifer, who is originally from Southaven, have two daughters Rachel and Hannah.
