Dr. Doug Rouse new IHL president

Doug Rouse takes office as president of IHL board

Trustee Alan Perry passed the gavel to incoming President Dr. Doug Rouse during a recent meeting of the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning’s board of trustees on the campus of Delta State University in Cleveland.

Rouse officially takes office Sunday.

“I look forward to working with my fellow trustees, the commissioner and university leadership to advance Mississippi through higher education,” Rouse said. “Our students are our state’s most important investment and provide an excellent return on this investment. As our university system continues to enroll and graduate more students, our state’s economy will grow and strengthen.”
